Edward Daniel Parsons was living in Northampton at the time of enlistment. When the war began he was tuberculosis officer and deputy medical officer of health to the Borough of Northampton. He took a temporary commission as lieutenant in the R.A.M.C. on November 2nd, 1914. He was sent to Alexandria in June and was invalided from that station. He died of his wounds in Wandsworth hospital 20/09/1915. He was a freemason and is commemorated on the memorial at Freemasons' Hall, Great Queen Street, London (Information supplied by Mike Walsh)
